Welcome to CrocoTools! We provide bioinformatics webservers and standalone software to analyze the sequence, structure, and function of the molecules of life. We are committed to providing high-quality, user-friendly, computationally efficient bioinformatics tools, taking upon ourselves the challenge of making scientific software accessible to our peers across various fields of life and medical sciences.
The CrocoPhilosophy combines efficiency with enjoyable user experience. This means:
- improving performance by improving design (algorithms and implementation), not by requiring additional resources;
- facilitating much faster or entirely novel analyses;
- keeping things simple for new users while allowing sufficient flexibility for expert users
CrocoBLAST is a standalone software for greatly enhancing BLAST+ execution on any computer by improving multithread support, managing alignments in a queue, estimating execution time, pausing, etc.
CrocoPhylogeny is a web server for phylogenetic analyses of whole genomes and complex nucleotide sequences such as clusters of non-ortholog genes with severe rearrangement and variable length.
NAChR-DB is a web-accessible database of structural and functional annotations of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors.
CrocoMuStARD is a web server that uses deep learning to infer small RNA genes within a genome.
